RE: Review of basic telecommunications services, Telecom Notice of Consultation 2015-1341 – Changes to filing dates

On 4 May 2015, the Commission received a request from the Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC), the Consumers’ Association of Canada, the ACORN Canada, the National Pensioners Federation, and the Council of Senior Citizens’ Organizations of British Columbia (collectively, PIAC et al.). PIAC et al. requested that the deadline for initial interventions be deferred from 30 June 2015 to 14 July 2015 and that the deadline for the initial interrogatories be deferred from 7 August to 21 August 2015.

The Commission received comments on PIAC et al.’s request from Bell Canada, the British Columbia Broadband Association, the Canadian Independent Telephone Company Joint Task Force, Rogers Communications Partnership, SSi Group of Companies, and TELUS Communications Company.

Changes to filing dates set out in Telecom Notice of Consultation 2015-134

This is to inform you that the 30 June 2015 deadline for filing initial interventions in this proceeding will be postponed to 14 July 2015. Further details regarding revisions to other filing dates for this proceeding will be issued shortly in amendment to Telecom Notice of Consultation 2015-134.

Change to the filing date for responses to requests for information

In addition, requests were made to postpone the 30 June 2015 deadline for filing responses to requests for information that were issued on 7 May and 15 May 2015. In light of the change to the intervention deadline noted above, responses to these requests for information are now to be filed by 14 July 2015.

Yours sincerely,
