First Nation leaders, through the Assembly of First Nations, have adopted the e-Community framework based on the desire to own, control and manage their local infrastructure and services.
North Spirit Lake is one of the communities that have adopted this e-Community model. This video addresses the importance of e-Community, and looks at how North Spirit Lake has put e-Community into practice. It addresses the value of communication technologies such as cellphones and social media in spreading important information through the community.
