Introducing digital media producer John Pantherbone

Another Indigenous digital media producer is John Pantherbone. Originally from the Blood Tribe/Kanai Nation in southern Alberta, John is a Masters graduate from theĀ Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver. Today John works with the First Nations Health Authority in B.C. as a Communications Officer focused on web and social media. He also volunteers at CiTR, the radio station at the University of British Columbia.

John has participated in a number of projects that bring together First Nations and digital technologies. He was involved in a First Nations Digital Jam, where students from Alert Bay experimented with digital gaming production. He also volunteers with the Vancouver Indigenous Media Arts Festival and participated in the First Mile project.
